Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
Our aim is to help make your movements easier so you can regain your independence. To achieve this you will be given individualised treatment and exercises.
The physiotherapy service aims to ensure you get the right care as quickly as possible. We are proud of our staff who are truly dedicated, ambitious, and caring.
Our on-going mentoring programme means that every physiotherapist is assigned a senior team member who they can turn to for advice and from whom they can learn new, practical, effective treatment techniques. All our physio’s are also required to keep up to date with the latest treatments via an extensive in-house training program and courses from world class physiotherapy lecturers and masters level education, and share their knowledge in a weekly group discussion of the latest research.
Physiotherapy follows evidence-based practice and uses the bio psycho-social model of care. This is a holistic approach that takes into consideration your physical, medical, psychological and social well being. In other words, we care for you as a whole person – and don’t just look at a problem in isolation.
What to expect from Physiotherapy
Your musculoskeletal physiotherapist will assess your condition and help you understand what the problem is and how to put it right. Helping you reach your potential and achieve your life goals.
The assessment will usually include a physical examination in order to make a clinical diagnosis. You will then be given a treatment plan that takes into account your lifestyle, goals and general health.
Your treatment plan may be individual, group based, or a mixture of the two.
