Welcome to Bas Sadiq, our new Deputy Chief Executive
We're delighted to welcome Basirat (Bas) Sadiq to Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust as Deputy CEO. Bas is an experienced director, with 19 years in the NHS, starting her career as an Outpatient Receptionist in 2004 before taking up her first management post in 2006. For the past four years, she has been the Chief Improvement and Strategy Officer at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust. Prior to that Bas has held senior roles in both Acute and Community Trusts.We are really looking forward to Bas working with our staff, patients, and communities to improve the health and wellbeing of the people who we serve.
Passionate about building trusting partnerships and collaborating across organisations and sectors to deliver high quality and innovative patient-centred care, she said: “I am thrilled to be joining Homerton Healthcare and the City and Hackney Place. I am very excited by the opportunity in this role to make a meaningful difference to the health and wellbeing of local residents, particularly many of whom may not have had equal access to health and social care or whose health suffers because of deprivation. I truly believe that collaboration with communities, patients, people, and our partners is key to the future success and sustainability of our services. I am passionate about people and the empowerment of front-line staff and patient partners to drive innovation and sustainable change, and I look froward to working with teams to ensure that we continue to build our future together”.
