Non-clinical

As a non-clinical member of the team, you are required to complete the training programmes below. Examples of non-clinical job roles for the purposes of CMT requirements are:

  • adminstrative roles such as receptionists,secretaries, ward clerks,
  • estate roles such as carpenters, electricians
  • bio-chemist roles such as microbiology scientists, embryologists

Moving & Handling Level 1

Level 1 - Moving and Handling Training is devoted to the theory and practice safe object handling including practical demonstration of techniques.

Preventing Radicalisation

Radicalisation is the process by which people come to support terrorism and extremism and, in some cases, come to be part of terrorist groups. It has far-reaching implications across a spectrum of socio-economic groups.

IPC Level 1

The aim of infection prevention and control (IPC) is to prevent patients and health workers from becoming ill due to avoidable infections and antimicrobial resistance.

This is even more important in the current pademic, to support the safe and efficient management of patients with suspected or proven covid-19 or other respiratory diseases.

Infection Prevention and control Level 1

Resuscitation Level 1

Resuscitation training, appropriate to need, is provided on a regular basis. All non-clinical staff are expected to complete resuscitation level 1 training every three years.

Safeguarding Adults and Children Level 1

Safeguarding is the process of preventing abuse or neglect of children and adults. In keeping children and adults safe and promoting their welfare, all NHS commissioned services have a critical role to play, as safeguarding is everyone's responsibility.
