Improvement and QI at Homerton
The Improvement team works across Homerton Healthcare to support anyone with an idea to improve their service to patients, the community or support for staff. We believe that anyone can have a good idea for improving their service.
We work with teams and individuals, offering training, guidance and direct support needed to get improvement projects set up and running effectively.
Typically we use the Model for Improvement as the foundation of our Quality Improvement (QI) approach - but we also work flexibly, tailoring our support to each individual project.
Opening our training to healthcare partners in Hackney and City
Quality Improvement and continuous is improvement are live issues across the whole of City & Hackney - and as part of our commitment to Place-based and Neighbourhood working we are now offering our QI training to organisations with a healthcare focus – including the voluntary and community sector and GP groups.
This is slightly experimental - our courses have been developed primarily for Homerton colleagues and so the examples tend to be somewhat Homerton-focussed. Nonetheless the techniques and tools we explore are broadly applicable and people who have been on our courses from other organisations have told us they are useful.
You can find a link to book onto one of our courses below.
… tailored learning for large groups
If you are from a Hackney and City organisation involved in health, wellbeing or social care and you have 10+ colleagues who are also interested, we may be able to offer tailored training. Contact huh-tr.qihomerton@nhs.net and tell us a little about your requirements.
